Snail Shell: Adaptation Of An Animal

I found this empty snail shell while going for a walk in Italy. The shell is an adaptation because it’s helpful for hiding and defending from predators, making it easier for the snail to survive. (My signature object is a smiley face drawn onto my pointer finger.)
